Things to Do around San Antonio, Texas

Downtown San Antonio

Downtown San Antonio is home to a lot of great attractions. There are many historical spots, including the Alamo, that showcase Texas history. The famed Riverwalk is another great place to spend the day and enjoy the scenery. Downtown is also home to many excellent restaurants. There's a lot to do in downtown San Antonio so add it to your travel plans.

Brackenridge Park

Brackenridge Park encompasses 343 acres and is seven minutes east of O'Casey's. Visitors to the historic park, which opened in 1899, will find playgrounds, softball fields, historic structures, the Witte Museum, the San Antonio Zoo and Brackenridge Park Golf Course. There are also plenty of walking tails, opportunities for bird watching, fishing and many other outdoor activities. The park is free to the public and is open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.

San Antonio Botanical Garden

Another great place to visit near O'Casey's is the San Antonio Botanical Garden. This 38-acre living museum of plants offers a great escape from your busy life, allowing you to immerse yourself in natural beauty. The garden changes with the seasons and attracts many birds throughout the year. There are also numerous activities so take some time for a walk through these vibrant gardens.
